Statistics: Russia’s PPI declines 1.5% in April month-on-month

MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- Russian produce price inflation index decreased 1.5% on the month and rose 7.6% on the year in April, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday.

Prices of producers in the mineral extraction industry fell 3.9% on the month but have risen 8.9% since January 1 in April, while prices in the processing industry remained flat on the month and have grown 0.8% since the beginning of the year.

Prices in provision of power, gas and steam and of air conditioning, decreased 2% in April and fell 0.4% in January–April. Prices in the industry of provision and disposal of water, waste collection and utilization, and liquidation of pollution remained flat in April and rose 0.3% in January–April.
